A middle-aged computer programmer with no musical background tries to make it as a rock singer/songwriter, a boy born with a rare disease that makes walking difficult strives to prove himself as a lacrosse goalie, and some senior citizens set out to show that age truly is just a number by taking on challenges usually reserved for people a third of their age. “Against the Tide” weaves together these and other stories of people who, in following their passion, simply refuse to accept the boundaries of what society expects from them.
